What time is it there?
When you completed the Time Zones activity, you completed the Time Zone Sheet. This sheet now has written on it the time zones for all the places in the next few activities.
This will now let you work out the time in these places.
For example:
- If a plane lands in Beijing at 14.40 (GMT + 8) it will be 06.40 in Manchester (GMT).
- You can work this out by taking 8 hours off the local time in Beijing to find out the time in Manchester (GMT).
Or
- If the plane lands in Singapore at 09.30 (GMT) it will be 17.30 (local time = GMT + 8). In this case, if it is 09.30 GMT in Manchester, if you add 8 hours you will get the local time in Singapore.
