| End-of-term exams
These are usually a check on what you have learned during the term.
Some subjects (sciences) have checks every few weeks.
Marks for end-of-term exams sometimes count towards your final course
result.
If they do count, you should prepare for the exam as normal.
Even if they don't, the exam is a good chance to practise and learn.
End-of-term exams are not usually popular - but ...
They give you a chance to practise your exam techniques.
They can be useful at a later stage of the course.
A good result might make up for a piece of work you miss later.
They also give you an idea of your progress on the course, and tell you
what you need to revise.
