Railway cutting:

The level of the railway has been lowered below the rest of the landscape on its approach to Holmes Chapel.

2. Viaduct:   This impressive bridge with over 20 arches carries the railway over the wide valley cut by the River Dane.

Industrial estate:
Industrial areas are often found at the edges of towns where they have more space to expand, better access to roads and are less of a disturbance to people living in the area.
4. Hollins Farm:   Cheshire has some of the best dairy and pasture farming in the country. Its mild, damp climate and gentle, rolling hills are ideal for cattle.
5. River meanders:   On the flat Cheshire Plain, the River Dane meanders its way to its confluence with the River Weaver. As it does so it frequently floods creating problems for people living next to the river but at the same time creating a fertile soil for farming.
6. Holmes Chapel:   This small market town sits to the South of the river Dane, just above its flood plain.
7. A535 Chelford Road:   Main road between Holmes Chapel and Knutsford.
8. Farm:   Typical Cheshire dairy farm.
