National Digital Intrastructure

Becta is working with key partners to design a national ICT infrastructure for education that will provide significant system-wide benefits of coherence and inter-operability (working to common standards), together with allowing local choice of a range of ICT services that deliver increased reliability at a sustainable and affordable price.



Becta’s self-review framework offers you a route for assessing and improving your school's use of ICT. Based on maturity models, the framework allows you to benchmark against established best practice and helps to create an action plan for improvement.



Becta’s Learning Platforms Services Framework offers a list of approved suppliers to provide best-value learning platforms for schools.

The Learning Platforms Services Framework runs from January 2007 to December 2009.
